How does Ciplactin work?
Ciplactin works by blocking the action of histamine. It blocks natural substances like serotonin and histamine that the body makes during allergic reactions. The active ingredient is an antagonist. It competes with serotonin and histamine respectively for receptor sites. It is used for the treatment, control, prevention, and improvement of the following conditions and symptoms:
- Cold Urticaria
- Lack of appetite
- Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis
- Allergic reactions to blood or plasma
- Vasomotor rhinitis
- Loss of appetite
- Allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods

How to use Ciplactin?
Use this medication as prescribed by your doctor. For pediatric patients age 7 to 14, the normal starting dose is one tablet two to three times a day. The maximum dose for children is 4 tablets a day. For adult patients, the total daily dose should not exceed 0.5mg/kg/day. The recommended starting dosage is one tablet three times a day.

Warnings and Precautions

- Pediatric patients
Ooverdosage may cause depression, convulsion, respiratory and cardiac arrest.
- CNS Depressants
This drug may cause additive effects with alcohol and other CNS depressants.
- Activities requiring mental alertness
Ciplactin can cause dizziness and sedation.
- Drug Interaction
MAO inhibitors prolong and intensify the anticholinergic effects of this product. It may have additive effects with alcohol and other CNS depressants.
