Amlopres At is a combination drug. It contains Amlodipine Besylate and Atenolol as active ingredients. Atenolol is a drug known as beta blockers. It works by blocking the action of epinephrine on the heart and blood vessels that causes high blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium blocker. It works by relaxing the blood vessels to allow the blood to flow more easily.

How to use Amlopres AT?

Take Amlopres AT exactly as advised by your doctor. Take the medication by mouth with water. It is advisable to take the drug by mouth and on a full stomach to reduce the chances of having an upset stomach. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. Swallow Amlopres AT tablet whole. Your dose and the duration of your treatment are based upon the advice of your doctor. Do not take Amlopres AT in larger dose than what is prescribed. Never stop taking this drug without consulting your doctor. Sudden cessation may cause severe health problems. For a missed dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses at the same time for the missed dose. Skip the missed dose if it is less than 8 hours until your next dose.
